About ConsciousCopy

ConciousCopy is focused on sustainability copywriting and works with businesses that are active, ambitious, and making inroads from a sustainability perspective. We will work with you to effectively and thoughtfully communicate your message, product, or service.

Sustainability is not a maybe, or a nice to have. It’s a must-have for business. We are living in a time that has challenges. Though there are also opportunities. There are the business opportunities, and the bigger picture opportunities to create and be part of a society and business culture that works within our environmental parameters, that thrives economically, and that supports strong and resilient communities. Sustainability is everyone’s business, and ConsciousCopy can support you to effectively communicate the work that you’re doing and the leadership that you’re showing.

Impact is key, and I’m here to help you develop content that relays the efforts you’re making, the impact you’re having, and the ambitions you have. I’ll do this by working with you, by crafting the narrative that shares your authentic story, communicating the work that you’re doing to make a difference and to make the marketplace, and planet a more equitable, socially just, and environmentally sustainable one for everyone to thrive.

About me

I have over 10 years of experience in sustainability-focused roles. I have an MSc in Sustainable Development and an undergraduate degree in Business Studies. I’m a member of the Oversight Board for the EcoMerit environmental award programme, and a judge for the Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Impact Awards 2021.

In my recent past, I was the Sustainable Cork Programme Lead with Cork Chamber of Commerce. This programme sets a vision for the Cork region (Cork is the second-largest city in Ireland) to thrive as a resilient and sustainable region long into the future. The UN Sustainable Development Goals are the guiding framework through which this programme was and continues to be framed. While here, I also wore the hat of Senior Public Affairs Executive. Core to this role was a focus on sustainability, and the development of internal and external activities to ensure progressive sustainability actions and advocacy.

I am a previous Chair of Cork’s energy cluster, Energy Cork. As Chair, I brought my experience and focus on sustainability into this position and I’m really proud of the work that was done during this time. Before this, I was a Clean Coasts officer with An Taisce Environmental Education Unit for over 4 years. Working with, and supporting, schools and community groups to learn more about our coastal habitats and addressing directly the issue of marine litter.  And…. before that, I did a stint as a Research Assistant with Comhar Sustainable Development Council.
